One of the biggest failings of an Operator is with respect to the analysis reporting they carry out themselves and/or the action taken when reports are produced. Many Operators will only produce a driver infringement letter, or equivalent and simply have the driver sign that for their records. This is not sufficient as the driver needs to understand why the infringement has occurred in order that the Operator can evidence that they have taken the appropriate steps to prevent a repetition of the infringement. Furthermore, there are many other reports within analysis systems that should be utilised to aide and improve compliance.

Please remember that tachograph analysis is just that, it is the analysis of the data, not simply the production of a report.
